A brief pictorial of fashion and glamour as seen thru the eyes of Deontae Trundle (DTrundle). These are editorial fashion captures with a naptual beauty twist. His work, here, is but a small representation of the young talent with broad vision; a vision that he believes transcends the label of Photographer, making him “The Artist”.
His words:
“To me the definition of an artist is the ability to walk through everyday life, see the creativity in it and then transform that vision into some form of art that we can see, hear, touch or feel.
As “The Artist” I feel that I do just...

This could be considered a tongue-in-cheek response to my friend Leslie’s recent sets of Sunday Cuteness. They seemed to have gotten a little testosterone heavy, so, you could see this as my effort to balance that out.
Naturally Leslie was one of the first people I found in the blogging world when I started these journals on the Garden. She is thoughtful and matter-of-fact in her statements and genuine in her entries. She seems to touch folks where they live and I’ve admired her “realness” as an element of her natural beauty.
I’d hoped that she would, one day, allow...

DORLIS … HERMOSDEF … KIJA
THE ORGANIC SOUL CREW
The Organic Soul Crew was created by these three talented and visionary photographers to change the way French people see the black community in France as more than dancers or soccer players. January of this year Hermosdef was found dead in Paris and this entry is dedicated to his memory.
Hermann DEZA aka HERMOSDEF was born in Paris in 1975, the 3rd child of migrants from Ivory Coast, West Africa. The 2 great passions of his life were music and photography. Not wanting to choose one over the other Hermosdef worked to entwine and...

People fished the lake where we did this shoot, frequently. I could see why. Its very picturesque. Lush, green, clear and open, the lake was circled on one side with natural walking path. This is where Radiantz and I created most of our captures. She was alternately serious and playful through out the shoot, depending on what we talked about at the time. Initially we’d intended to start shooting around 9 am but did not get started until 11:30 and I was worried about the heat and onlookers but it, all in all it was quite pleasant. Radiantz had posed for me a few times before and I was very...

These are captures of Bintou, a model of Senegalese descent from Brooklyn. Dallas J. Logan was the photography of the striking images. He’s worked with a DSLR for about 2 1/2 years and in that short time he’s done magazine editorials, two clothing line campaigns, two skin care campaigns and an underwear line… He “now teach others the little bit I know.”
In those two years I guess he has learned the technical aspects of photography but the creative artistry portrayed in his works belies that relatively short period of study. And his vision is clear in both his...

A little while back, we featured the works of Fine Artist April Harrison. Today we feature the woman in a momentary pictorial of Artists’ Glamour…
Photography courtesy of Josh Norris. You can view more of his work here. You’ve seen the woman here. See her extraordinary works here and here.

Dotting the “i”s and crossing the “t”s … its coming along a little slower than I want but it happens at its own pace…the right pace and the right time…
The images, as you can see, are fierce. The words…thought-provoking. Get ready because its coming, really soon.
