Now I know that wasn’t exactly what David said but that’s about the way I remember it. David Albert, a dog groomer and renaissance man of many talents, was talking about the Crochet Strut event we did a while back. He came thru, loved it and could wait to do another one with his particular spin on it. At the Crochet Strut, he took down names and emails so that when he did put his event together he sent the word out. And as he prepared for it, Tara Baker, owner of the Crochet Fashion Gallery, helped him pull it all together. So when all was said and done, David and Tara’s Funky Ass Party was born.
And a Funky Ass Party it was.
David’s house beats were funky indeed. The earthSistas did a fabulous Pangea’s Strut while draped in Tara’s beautifully creative crochet fashions. Struts became dances. Folks joined the ‘Sistas on the dance floor. Tara started blowing bubbles. Everybody’s spirits were festive.
Love the photos. Definitely a funky-ass good time.
