During the 4th of July weekend I got really lucky. I was able to play catch up with an old friend and fine Fine Artist, April Harrison. Seeing her and spending time with her again got me wondering about greatness.
When I would read Art History books about Degas, Picasso and Cezanne, and their ground breaking works I often wondered what their lives were really like. I was curious as to if they knew they would go down in history or did they feel that they would become some obscure reference. Now, I know that its an individual experience for every artist as life is for every person. I know artist,...

Susannah Marie has a message for those she seeks to inspire…
I’m a Muse; playful, sensual and lots of energy. There’s a fine line between sensual and sexual but nevertheless it is distinct. I apply movement to my poses, graceful moves, I move slowly enough for you to tell me when to stop and I’ll hold the pose.
My body is sculpted and expressive so bring lots of film, photo cards or whatever it is that you use. I have some music to bring with me, if you have some then shoot for slow classical (piano concertos – Chopin) ambient music/world music/tribal music...

Charlisha is a model that I’ve recently spoken to online about joining us in the Garden. A Fashion Merchandising student, Charlisha wants to focus on art and fashion photography as both a model and photographer. Being a lover of art, she wants to use captures to provoke visual stimulations to the mind. She has also ventured into acting. Her beauty has been captured by the likes of Patrick Covington , Kever Conyers III , the KS Collection and B L O P H O T O. You can check out her modeling portfolio here and her photography portfolio here. I look forward to seeing what she chooses...

A while back, I created an entry where I mentioned that I was impressed by the works of the artist Maurice Evans and his muse PrettyBlak. So impressed that I asked them if they would be interested in participating in the Garden. They said yes and proceeded to create a fabulous collection of images that are works of art in themselves. They will be a part of the launch of the portal slated for later this month. In the meantime check out these images of from behind the scene.
PrettyBlak is a model and you find her here. Check out the works of Maurice here and here.

In the process of working on the web portal I’ve approached various people to contribute content. One such person is the UrbanGeisha, Farah B. from Brooklyn. A recent reality TV show star (Redemption Song on FUSE TV) she’s a professional model/hairstylist/MUA in the New York area whose captures are breathtaking. See for yourself. And you can see more images of her on her modeling profile here.

My favorite poet…
I have known her LeiCole for twenty years and I have got to tell time must fly when you are having fun because it definitely does not seem as if it has been that long. Creative, intensely thoughtful, measured and quite beautiful, she is, in many aspects, a living dream. (I know she’s laughing as she reads that but it is true.)
She is a writer. And back in the day I was moved by some of her verse to create works of art. Now she flips it and has created verse for images in the Garden. She has also taken an interest in in interviewing some of the models in the Garden...

Gus Bennett, Jr. is a Photographer out of New Orleans. I’ve always admired his techniques of combining photographic images with archival painted abstracts to create a soulful creatively intimate capture. I am humbled and inspired by his works. Hopefully, he will be a part of the portal. In the meantime, I share these extraordinary works here. To see more of his works you can find them here and here.

Mark is a photographer in Trinidad & Tobago. He view his captures an artist’s first sketch and says they become art when he’s had his way with them in my digital lab.
One model who has worked with him says “He has this way of seeing the artistic side of everything, translating it from his creative eye to picture.”
He says he loves vintage and creating black&white images. I say his works speak for themselves. You can see more of his work here.
