A while back, I created an entry where I mentioned that I was impressed by the works of the artist Maurice Evans and his muse PrettyBlak. So impressed that I asked them if they would be interested in participating in the Garden. They said yes and proceeded to create a fabulous collection of images that are works of art in themselves. They will be a part of the launch of the portal slated for later this month. In the meantime check out these images of from behind the scene.
PrettyBlak is a model and you find her here. Check out the works of Maurice here and here.

labelfreementality made a comment about one of the new models for the web portal that reminded of the truly rich and wonderful images of Courtney Chen. And as you look at these images I am sure you can see why.
A Jamaican from St. Andrew, Courtney says that he’s had a love of Photography for many years, because it allows him to express the artistic side of himself. You can see more of his images here. He LOVES feedback and feels criticism is the key to learning. On that notion we both agree.
He welcomes all comments, good or bad, he is open to different interpretations. I might be wrong...

Jake…
By LeiCole
Jake’s shoot begins with Vincent, in his manner, pushing the boundaries. Yet Jake assures him that the day will be strictly G-rated, and that’s that. Not that she’s at all difficult. She helps with shots and takes direction with an easy, accommodating manner. Perhaps this comes naturally to the third-born of four girls, with whom she was forced to share and make due, forced (or perhaps free) to fashion an identity not endowed by order of birth. And so she has. Musician. Photographer. Aspiring actress. Model. Fire fighter.
Given the name “Jakequeline”...

While playing in the kitchen at Mas Camp with Jake, the poet LeiCole interviewed her for a contribution to the Project. Thats coming soon.
As I listen, I am reminded of some of the reasons beyond the look that I am inspired to cature Jake. They are captured in the words and pictures here.

I read some verse from Muze and it was deep & poetically insightful. It opened my own eyes. Sometimes you really don’t know what you are missing until…
loved, once…
i was in love once…
my thoughts, chaotic, ran in circles
leaving her but always coming back
i was not alone
its over now. as over as it can be.
but every now and then
a word might be said
or a gesture made
or the light strikes her in just the right way…
and i’m in love again.
and that’s when it hurts.
’cause it over.
