LoisLane…a Naptual Morning…

Early Monday morning was the time. The location – an urbane apartment building in midtown Atlanta that had brightly painted interiors which caught the light of the sun very well and reflected it brilliantly. I’d visited the apartment about week prior to the shoot and knew it would be perfect for an early morning set. LoisLane and I met the sun in the kitchen and the rest was beautiful. We call her LoisLane because, like Clark Kent, her hidden powers are endless. She is an INCREDIBLY intelligent medical student by day and in her secret identity she’s a soulfully talented Jazz basist. She upfront and uncharacteristically open and real. She moves…she lives… with the quirky grace of improvisational jazz. And when you are in her presence, its not hard for you to feel brighter…lighter. During the shoot, she was open and experimental. We followed the light, creating great captures in our wake. All natural and open, we captured the beauty of the earthbound soul.

don’t laugh.
just looking at different ways of manipulating my images. i love shooting and i love interpreting my images artistically in various ways. i think i am off to a rocky start here but bear with me. more is coming…

We were in a living room that felt like a cool jazz set when I took these shots. I was trying to get a feel for a shoot I wanted to do in the future that focused on this fascinating aspect of LL’s character.

You see, she’s a jazz bassist, whose secret identity is that of a med student. To say she is busy is an understatement. But we kicked back and talked. Relaxed and came up with a couple of ideas for shoots. I’ve Already shown you one of them here. This is the other.

The names on the shots are Jazz Musicians she admires. I think I want to incorporate their music in the set we do for the portal. What do you think?
