Africa Fashion Week (New York) will be held during the week of July 12-18 2010. AFWNY is a luxury multi day event that will include runway shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events with the sole purpose of raising awareness of the African/African, American/Afro-Caribbean fashion & entertainment professionals in New York and Tri-State area. The Africa Fashion Week New York event will showcase many of the very best out of Africa, a wide range of designers that highlight couture African style, innovative fashion, luxurious and inspirational pieces. Buyers, media, socialites, and potential customers alike will witness the historical and fashionable significance of Africa Fashion Week (New York).

The National Black Arts Festival is July 14-18, 2010, and better than ever! This summer’s festival features performances by PHILADANCO, trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, Ivan Lins and Olodum in Brazil Fest Concert, a tribute to the legacy of Curtis Mayfield, & the NBAF Gala will return to the 1920’s-30’s era with “Stormy’s Supper Club.” The festival returns to Centennial Olympic Park, July 15 – 18, 2010, with the International Marketplace featuring 100 artists, vendors and exhibitors and there are events all over Atlanta in concert with the movement.
