The last time that images involving Sheree graced the Garden, she was BEHIND the camera. It was early in her career as a photographer, yet even then her works displayed an edgy creative quality that is still a part of her visual aesthetic today. A few ago we decided to flip the script. The artist would become the muse.
earthSista SUCCESS had just revealed to me a beautiful waterfall that would be an excellent backdrop for more nature shoots. And I couldn’t wait to test it out. Immediately, I thought of Sheree. I had not met her when we featured her works so long ago. After we met I was personally inspired and could not wait to create images with her. She is SO very different in front of the camera. Behind the lens she is confidant, self-assured and barking out commands like a drill seargeant. In front of the lens she was SO quite and almost timid. I almost did not recognize her. She was almost fragile. And yet she yielded some strong and confidant images, opening up as the shoot progressed. I look forward to shooting with her again.
