Taking a moment to get your thoughts on Eve first release of upcoming album.

The single for this video has been out since October and there was a LOT of buzz about the video that was being produced for it. And while the reviews of the song have been mixed at best the early buzz on the video is positive. Shot in black and white the imagery is glamorous and Eve is sexy and full of swagger.

RickRoman from  KillerHipHop.com
had this to say:
“The self-proclaimed “pit bull in a skirt” uses the track to remind us that good things come to those who wait. Although the song itself shows incredible potential for Eve’s next album, one can only assume that the shaky music video is a product of a tight budget.”

On the other hand…
KerSma338 of KarenCivil.com had this to say:
“This isn’t the Ruff Ryders Eve that everyone still has pictured in their minds, as she gives us a combination of creative visuals, sexy outfits and lyrics that pack a punch.”

The video does feature Eve’s sultry side and the African-inspired beat definitely accentuates eh curve in her swagger.

This single is part of Eve’s forth studio album “Lip Lock.” Due to her detour into the world of acting, she hasn’t done a studio production since “Eve-olution” in 2002. Will this single and it’s video be the first step in an effort to go from celebrity back to stardom? Only time will tell as we wait for “Lip Lock” to drop later this year from Eve’s own imprint, Blondie Rockwell, Inc.

So come on people. Are you feeling this or what? Is Eve on her way back? Will she be able to go toe-to-toe with likes of  Rihanna and Nicki Manaj? What do you think?
