So much has happened and is happening. So much to share…

We’ve been a little busy offline attending and participating in events, adding new earthSistas and earthBrothas while creating bodies of work to share with you. Along the way we’ve made a few new friends as well as checked in with a few of the original cultivators of the Garden. And in the process we’ve had some challenging discussions on the beauty of afrosensuality and how to pay homage and celebrate it. But more on that later.

First I want mention that you all should keep an eye of for earthSista Sindel. She started her earthSista journal last week and plans to post more. She’s an adventurous sista who is on the move so it should be interesting. And speaking of Sindel, she was one of the earthSistas that participated in a Fela-themed photographers’ group photo shoot that Pangea sponsored with the Atlanta Photographers Guild. earthSistas Sehkmet and Nambi both joined an intimate group of photographers to create some extraordinary works from their unique perspectives. It is the first of a series of photographers’ socials to broaden the points of view of afrosensuality.

And on the subject of points of view… artists Grace Kisa and Maurice Evans, who works have elevated the standard of artistry in Pangea, spoke candidly about their viewpoints on art and the afrosensuality in the Garden. This week we will feature thoughts and art works so look for it.

Fashion trends will be featured as well with an upcoming focus on Radical Denim. Pangea will also celebrate up-and-coming fashion icon, the Sudan-born/Kenya-raised model Akuol De Mabior; the woman is the definition of afrosensual glamour.

And with a provocative nod to the sensual size of Afrosensuality earthSista Sekhmet kicks back with new earthBrotha Stitch in a moment of creative intimacy. Look to see it very soon as well.

For now, we focus our attention on Kush Nubi. This strong mother has been through her own trials and tribulations and yet she always rises; not as a survivor but as a thriver, a queen. This collection of nature stroll captures were created as her 30 minutes in the Garden. They were sexy and playful, regal and joyous. The soft-spoken diva was positive and inspiring. She is a conscious sista, always striving to build a better life for herself and her loved ones. The Garden would truly benefit from wisdom as well as her beauty. I hope she returns soon.
