Beads Byaree is a collection of whimsical
and imaginative hand-crafted jewelry.

Beads Byaree was born in the fall of 2010 while designer and founder Areeayl Goodwin was studying at Howard University. During her sophomore year at the Creative and Performing Arts High School of Philadelphia, Areeayl spontaneously began teaching herself how to create jewelry. This once sporadic venture, which has turned into a passion, has spread like a wildfire as dreamers around the world have connected with her bold and whimsical jewelry.

Areeayl has never believed in the rules of fashion, rather her main source of inspiration has been music. Never sketching anything out, her imagination has been the sketchpad for all of her designs. Some of her creations have even come to her in her dreams making each piece one of a kind.

In the spring of 2011 Areeayl began her first benefit line under Beads Byaree “Love for the Congo”. “Love for the Congo” was launched after Areeayl was strongly influenced by a play entitled RUINED by Lynn Nottage. The play brought attention to the genocide in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and how women were being used as weapons of war. Staying true to her humanitarian spirit she launched “Love for the Congo” earrings and began to donate the proceeds to womenforwomen.org, which is an organization that supports women who are suffering all around the word.

Beads Byaree has continued to grow rapidly since its launch. Her unique pieces have found their way into the homes of dreamers domestic and abroad. Her jewelry can be found internationally in London, Israel, South Africa, Belgium, and many other places. As Beads Byaree continues to grow we also hope that the dare to dream will grow infectiously and spread… like a wildfire.
