LOOKBOOK: A Goddess’ celebrations

I was asked if I considered my creations Afrocentric
and my immediate response was ‘at one time, yes.’

I said that because, even though I still consider it Afrocentric in origin in that is the way I initially approach what I create,  I have been approached by Native Americans as well as sistas from India about the cultural origins of my work, feeling that I was inspired by their cultures as well. I am inspired by and celebrate the artistry of most indigenous culture so I guess I have to say I have come to consider my works indigenous celebrations.

I am an earthy rambunctious creator of beautiful things.🌿 

I am loving every single part of me. I get so excited when I finish making a piece. My work is such an expression of my energy and how I’m inspired by the beautiful people I create for. At the same time that I’m expanding creatively, I am expanding spiritually. I am becoming wealthy in ways that I never imagined. I am falling in love with myself and it has nothing to do with conceit. It’s just about accepting and loving me, as me, in me, and not as any other being in comparison. I know who I am. I suggest we all get down with this. Otherwise, we waste so much time on the unnecessary and I believe it blocks us from reaching our full potential. I strive to reach my full potential. It’s a must, so I chip at it everyday. This page is my business page, but also a bit of a journal of sorts for me. Much love sent to you all. Keep it real with you.
