I asked EddieMarie what did she would want her earthSista name to be if she chose to become one and she immediately said Nala (from the Lion King) and I saw it. Nala was the beautiful young lioness who playfully and frequently teased Simba, the once and future Lion King. As children they were playmates and best friends and when they were older, Nala inspires Simba to make the right decisions that lead to him becoming her King and she becoming his Queen.

Nala would fit this statuesque top model in the making because she is indeed an inspiration. With her, decidedly, Afrocentric spin on the traditional model aesthetic, EddieMarie brings a striking alternative perspective to the Next Top Model culture.
