Miguuwazi is Swahili for ‘bare feet.’
That’s important to know when you know Queen Selema
I was asked to help assist Vincent who was the photographer on this particular shoot. I was assisting him but as the shoot went along I couldn’t resist I had to get some images of this Queen. Her confidence and sex appeal was amazing and you see it in the images. This shoot was supposed to be a foot fetish shoot but as I saw her lying on the futon I had a whole other vision from what was intended. I am proud of what we were able to create. Just wait to see what else we have up our sleeves.
Provocative.
Every move she made, every word she said with that husky voice of hers, pushed your buttons and made you uncomfortable… in a good way. When I met Miguuwazi (aka Queen Selema,) I was immediately intrigued and creatively curious. When I approach her about a feature in Pangea, I was open. The young woman was on the move, carving her own path in the culture of fetish and kink. She loved the idea of creating images based on exploits and I found enthusiasm to be refreshing.
Miguuwazi’s playful exploration of her sensuality draws you in as her daring exploits elevate her movements and poses to high art. During the photoshoot she was curious and open; creative and enthusiastic. The Love Queen was bold and kinky and unafraid when she pushed limits and redefined boundaries. I have to admit, I was taken aback as the shoot progressed; I did not expect to see what I saw and when I looked over to Kenya, who was assisting, I could tell he felt the same. We were out of our comfort zones but we were not afraid or offended… we were inspired. That what the Queen does. Miguuwazi was naughty, sexy, artistic, funny and intense. She glamorous and trashy. Dramatic and passionate. Beautiful and proud. Never degrading… never disrespectful… never ashamed. To me, Miguuwazi is the definition of what Pangea’s Garden is all about.
