earthSistas in nauture…
what could be a better inspiration?
An earthSista on a nature stroll seemed, to me, to be the perfect theme for Pangea’s Garden. Creating captures of beautiful, natural black women, baring all, in the throws of sensuality and serenity as they communed with God’s gifts… what could be more beautiful than that?
The Series has yielded some astounding images. The earthSistas were inspired by the settings and I was inspired by their interactions with nature.
The moments are unique and timeless. There is a symphony of scents and sounds as well as visions that intertwine to create and extraordinary body of stimuli. When you are there, you can’t help but be inspired by God’s design. I feel like I am touched by a momentary awareness of how its all connected and how we are all a part of it. I know that its not possible to accurately portray this awareness in my images. I know I am not supposed to be able to. But in the case of these sensuous moments with the earthSistas and their personal communion with the environment, I’ve tried to share a small piece of the ubiquitous beauty of a moment. I want entertain you. I want to inspire you. I want to provoke you. I want this ‘small piece’ of a moment to move you enough to seek the full experience of ‘a momentary awareness’ for yourself.
My intent is arrogant and ambitious. And with each image that I have created, I have only been left to create more. Each set of images inspires my desires to create the next set so the series is ongoing with no end in sight. This set is a beginning of a series of compilation sets made up of images, not yet revealed from the previous collections in the Nature Stroll Series. These compilations are black & white or monochromatic sets designed to focus on the artistic drama of an earthSista’s Nature Stroll. But enough talk. I’ve said too much already, but I am curious…
