pgp378: a busy week in the Garden…

I have to say, I did not see this coming.

The week started rather spectacularly with an earthSista image shoot featuring new earthSista Raine. It was the beginning of her Oshun Series that she plans to elaborate on in the near future. The beautiful diva was adorned in gems provided by jewelry designer Zeus DeShaman, embellished by talented make-up artist, earthSista FURY and dressed by stylist Jamilahtu Shabazz whose also the jewelry designer/owner of Do It AGAIN UPcycled Designs. Photographer, Haynes Cantrell of ShootLife Photography joined in the shoot as well. That was not the end of the day.

From there, Haynes and earthSista FURY joined me for a promotional shoot for a photographers’ workshop that I’ll be hosting at the end of the month. earthSistas JadeFox, WildOrchid and Ororo, the featured models for the workshop, were the subjects of the shoot. The theme of the shoot was Naughty Back-To-School Girl and that shoot was brief and full of fire. A great way to end the day.

On the following day an attempt was made by the radical earthSistas of the Naughty Back-To-School Girl shoot, to quench their fires’ thirst with waterGUNwars at the Apache Cafe and Lounge. Joined by some of their friends as well as some patrons of Apache everybody had a LOT of fun as photographers and artists were inspired by the events to create new works.

And later in the week earthSista FURY and I created captures for Pangea’s 30 Minutes in the Garden series. We also did her first earthSista image set. earthSista Raine joined us on the shoot and great time was had by all.

It has been a long time since I worked since we’ve been so busy in such a short period of time but there are so many earthSistas, earthBrothas and Cultivators who are interested sharing their perspectives on Pangea’s mission of celebrating Afrosesuality that I need a scorecard to keep track of it all. As I share these peeks of what’s come, I hope that you are excited as I am.

Pangea’s Nature Stroll Series… The moments are unique and timeless. There is a symphony of scents and sounds as well as visions that intertwine to create and extraordinary body of stimuli. When you are there, you can’t help but be inspired by God’s design. this was the backdrop for the beautiful women who have all taken part in this extraordinary rich series of images that are still never ending. Momentary strolls that were reflective, imaginative, provocative and creative led to some revealing moments in which beauty both inside and out was exposed.

The Afrosensual Aesthetic is the GardenVoice that pushes the limits and deepens the perspective. It is still be done from a position of respect, pride and joy, but here we will be able to explore themes that don’t quite fit within the earthSista box.
