If you are not new here, then you know that Pangea’s Garden has a regular meet-up at the Apache Cafe. We do it on the second Monday of every month. And for the month of October we decided to start up something new: Pangea’s Afrosensual Social.
Typically we have themed shoot group model event with Photographers and Artists creating great captures inspired by the earthSistas posing on the model podium. And over the last few of months we’ve been fortunate to have the Hip Hop Funk band HOMEGROWN performing live on the stage. We’ve always had Reggae fusion music on the turntables on the back deck and Hip Hop/R&B on the 1s and 2s up front. With all that going on right after Happy Hour, why not call it a social? It’s a chance to kickback and celebrate the true beauty of afrosensuality in art, photography and music. It’s a hang-out for all who appreciate creativity, good food and drink with Pangea’s earthSistas as the night’s muses.
Speaking of muses, earthSista SimoneMonet and potential bloom, SummerRaine inspired a lot of great images at the Afrosensual Social. And they weren’t alone. Cassandra, DeAndrea, earthSista RavenDesdemona and Cryss all felt inspired to join the night’s models on the podium and in front of the cameras. Check out some of my captures below. And when you’re done, click on the TOP SHOT link and see what some of the other photographers created and shared on Facebook. The images there are part of a competition for the TOP SHOT of October Afrosensual Social, so while you are there, vote on the shots you think are best by “Liking” them on FB.
And by the way, welcome to Pangea 2.0. The look isn’t the only thing that’s new. More details to come.
