“When Vincent approached me about a photo shoot, I was pretty shocked and very excited to do something I’d never done before. So of course I’m super nervous when I get there, but once I observed the scenery and realized that I am just another product of nature as is everything else around me [after all, the point of all of this is to show appreciation for who we are, as we are] it was a little easier to give in and be vulnerable. But the best part, was the teeny tiny frogs jumping around the lake. Lol I look forward to working with him on my “glamour” shots, since he seems to think my everyday look is so glamorous.”

“Teresa’s energy is joyful and infectious AND it is the first thing I saw when we met. Her inner beauty shined so bright and all I could think of is how would her melanin embrace the sun. That’s what a Muse, I suppose: provoke your curiosity so that you will actively engage in creativity as celebration. We took a momentary stroll over a still lake in a Georgia suburb. Gazebos stretched out over the waters and the sun danced around her, complementing her fro hawk beauty as I created captures. Her boyfriend was on hand, making sure his girl was safe and I asked him to participate in a few pics. Their love was touching and authentic; their embrace and support of one another beautiful. All in all, I look forward to what’s next.”

in·ter·lude | ˈin(t)ərˌlo͞od | noun  1 an intervening period of time. 2 a temporary amusement or source of entertainment that contrasts with what goes before or after.

An Interlude in the Garden is a momentary collection of casual captures. They are informal and open and sometimes intimate. Interludes can be spontaneous; they can be exploratory. An Interlude can be a momentary creative break between looks or an icebreaker, where photographer and muse get to know each other. This was a ‘Roots of the Garden’ moment from years ago when Vincent was inspired by a young dancer sporting a ‘frohawk’ on social media and impulsive reached out to see if she would like to spin thirty minutes on a gazebo over the lake. Feeling inspired by the idea, Teresa agreed.

Beautiful.
