Every year since 2021 (5 WHOLE YEARS) I’ve been coming to this same water with my Iya (@sweetlovesanctuary) paying homage to Osun, honoring her, praying to her, singing to her, and receiving many many blessings lessons and much love from her.

To be a daughter of Osun is to be way more than beautiful and loving and full of light.. to be a daughter of Osun is to have so much love and light that you can’t help but give it!! How ever one of our greatest obstacles is to learn who deserves and when to keep your sweet waters to yourself and let others drink only from the overflow (lol maybe that’s just the lesson I’m learning rn)

Anyways..

Yeye Osun I love you.

I’m grateful for all you’ve done for me and all you continue to do. I’m grateful for your guidance & your messages. For the answer to all my prayers. I’m grateful to be held and uplifted by you. I’m forever a devotee of you. Only you yeye , my mother Oya & the big G.O.D (Oludumare) truly know what this year has been like for me since our last Osun Feast day. Thank you for being with me every step of the way. I know you’re proud I didn’t give up! You’ll be even more proud next year! Just wait! Modupe Osun! ✨

in·ter·lude | ˈin(t)ərˌlo͞od | noun  1 an intervening period of time. 2 a temporary amusement or source of entertainment that contrasts with what goes before or after.

An Interlude in the Garden is a momentary collection of casual captures. They are informal and open and sometimes intimate. Interludes can be spontaneous; they can be exploratory. An Interlude can be a momentary creative break between looks or an icebreaker, where an individual can share a unique experience that was important to them. Nerayyah’s gathering in celebration of Osun has become a new tradition that honors our culture and provides opportunity for community to gather in elevation and love.

Beautiful.
