Early Mother’s Day and the sun was not yet high in the sky. And while the chaos of all of us coming together for this lakeside stroll seemed organic, I have to say it was not. It was a bit clumsy with awkward moments, late starts and communication stresses but the planning for this morning had been long in the making. The photographers/artists and the earthSistas were ready for this.
The surprises that added to the adventure of the day ranged from the banal to the memorable. Photographer Rodney, who was one of Pangea’s Meet&Greet ambassadors, accidentally locked his keys in his car while running errands. At the same time, curious sista Rayne, who showed up to check out what Pangea’s Garden was all about, decided to stay and participate in our morning activities. An unexpected cloudy overcast threatened to cry rain that never came. As a result the light was even and the temperature was pleasant. And throughout it all, everyone worked together to create captures that were simply beautiful.
Some came out to show support while others came out to create. Everyone, however, came out to meet and network in one of the most socially creative settings on the planet; Pangea’s secret garden. It’s a place that is more than a location; it is a frame of mind inspired by God-given beauty in all of it’s natural forms. Creatives Brian, Seth, Evelyn, Courtney, Thomas, David and Sammy accompany earthSistas JadeFox, Ororo, QuéLuna and new earthSista Rayne in a simple lakeside stroll while Rodney, I and earthBrotha Dleon acted as Pangea’s Meet&Greet Ambassadors. This event is Rayne’s debut in the Garden and I look forward to see more of her participation in the Garden in the near future. We are working with the other photographers to feature their creations of this day here as well.
step into the garden…
We want to do more of these Meet & Greets where we can creatively socialize and network on all things afrosensual. Whether it’s by the lake or in the studio, at the lounge or in your home, we want to share the Garden experience with you. If you are interested, let us know. Send us an email at [email protected]
I love the nature stroll series … natural beauty in a natural setting. earthSistas! (And in this case an earthBrotha as well.) It lends itself to some really beautiful images … and this is just the ‘behind the scenes’! It looked like fun.
