Yaisa had never styled for a photoshoot before.

It was the first time she’d joined Pangea for one of its group nature stroll and while she had an inkling of what  might happen, the young artisan had no real idea of what to expect or what the experience might be like. But Yaisa had hung with earthSistas and earthBrothas at Pangea’s urban AfroSocials and had become somewhat familiar with our afrosensual family. Yaisa had found joy, inspiration and curiosity in evening outings with the Garden so that when the opportunity to participate in what seemed like The Last Lakeside Stroll availed itself,  the opportunity to create for it seemed serendipitous.

Yaisa is an artist who had been creating custom adornments for quite some time. Pangea’s Nature Stroll presented her with the opportunity to anoint Pangea’s young Goddesses and Gods with her artistic creations in such a way that the experience would had a profound impression on the vision of her brand and it inspired the trajectory of Sun Goddess Jewelry greatly.

At the time of this meetup, we thought the stroll would be a humble one. Response had been slow, only a handful of photographers and muses had actually signed up. But, several photographers signed up at the last minute. The earthSistas and earthBrotha brought friends along who wanted to be in front of the camera. Organically, it all came together and it was a good day.

There was sense of joy, fellowship and creativity that became the ingredients for cultivating community. These images are a pale reflection of the relationships and visions that were born that day.
