YEME loves to strike a pose.
Adorned with a light drape and waist beads, YEME darted delightfully through the nature preserve in Atlanta’s West End. Like a pixie, she posed with dramatic and playful awe, as the sunlight bounced off tall branches and lush green leaves to find her beautiful tan skin. YEME welcomed its warm embraced as she daringly launched herself onto fallen woods without fear to find the natural light that would spotlight her like a star. It inspired her and she, in turn, inspired great captures. Thoughtful but never hesitant, YEME committed to creating works that spoke to liberation and the natural, afrosensuality that redefines beauty.

Often, we hear of conversations of inspiration with sistas about the Garden. Photographers are inspired by a sista’s presence and/or she is curious and inspired by the images in Pangea and this leads to discussions creating captures of afrosensual glamour, possibly as earthSistas. It takes a level of boldness to step in front of the camera, baring your natural beauty for the world to see. And such an action is not for everyone. But every woman should have the opportunity to explore her inner Afrocentric diva. Thirty Minutes in the Garden is a way to do that from an afrosensual perspective.
